Work Party at YWAM Puyallup FoodMachine

Published: 10 January 2013

A group from George Fox University came and helped at the YWAM Puyallup FoodMachine this week. They helped dig trenches for plumbing, dig the hole for the sump tank (the low spot in the system), and lay sand to go underneath the growbeds. Their work was extremely helpful!

Everyone worked hard AND was happy!!!

The trench for the pipe from the fish tanks to the end of the growbeds. The entire length of pipe before being rolled into place.

Sand was brought into the greenhouse to be used under the growbeds. The liner will actually sit right on the sand which will prevent rocks from putting holes in the bottom of the liner.

On the left, before the sand. On the right, all the sand is in place. Great work!
